“Solvitur ambulando” It is solved in walking. (Diogenes of Sinope)

Mindful Walking

Research has repeatedly demonstrated that exercise significantly reduces levels of stress and anxiety, releases muscle tension, helps you sleep better and boosts the 'feel-good' endorphins that elevate the mood.

Additionally, time spent engaging with the natural environment has demonstrated healing on many different levels.

The field of ecotherapy – a form of experiential psychotherapy that seeks to promote healing and growth by reintegrating the individual with the natural world – highlights numerous physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of time spent in nature, including boosting self-esteem, improving the sense of well-being and making us happier and kinder.

Combine this with Mindfulness facilitation, and you have a range of very beneficial approaches all coming together at once!

As a Registered Mountain and Wilderness Guide, I offer Mindful Walking sessions according to your fitness ability and the time available to you.

Possible areas for walking include Kirstenbosch; Cecilia Forest/Constantia Nek; Silvermine East or West.

R550.00 per hour for first hour;
R300 per additional hour (or part thereof).

“Full day walks – individual or group – as well as multi-day Mindful hikes can also be arranged”.
